Montana Trip, Days 2 and 3
Greetings, everyone. I am composing this note from rural Montana. We are about 15 miles outside of Chester, a very small town on U.S. Highway 2. We spent most of Monday driving from Williston to Chester. We stopped in Malta to have lunch at a small cafe and visit the Great Plains Dinosaur Museum. We were there for about an hour and had a great time. We had the place to ourselves, and the paleontologist on staff, Sue, was extremely friendly and accommodating. She even let the kids hold a tooth from a T-Rex! We then continued on to Chester, where we spent some time with Jen's uncle, had supper at a local cafe, and found one geocache in the Chester city park. We then traveled to the farm of Jen's cousin, Gail, and her husband, Monte.
We will be laying low here today, as Jen is in Great Falls picking up her sister Karen from the airport. Karen flew up from Texas, and will be vacationing with us. Tomorrow we head to Glacier National Park, where we will spent the night. We'll return to Chester on Thursday.
Sorry, no pictures now as Jen took the camera to Great Falls!

Montana Trip, Day One
Our big summer vacation this year is a trip to Montana to visit my father-in-law's relatives. It is an approximately 11 hour drive from Grand Forks. We left Grand Forks at 8:00am and arrived in Williston, North Dakota, about 2:30pm. We stopped very briefly in Minot to have a picnic lunch, but otherwise drove the whole way. We were worried about how Grace would do, but everything went well. We swam at the pool here at the Super 8, and ate supper at a restaurant called Gramma Sharon's (my mother-in-law is named Sharon). Tomorrow, we will visit a dinosaur museum in Malta, Montana, before our trip ends near Havre. It will be a long trip, but everyone is quite excited.

New Year's Recap
Greetings, all. Can anyone guess what our New Year's resolution is? (Hint: it involves this blog.) In an effort to keep our family and friends better informed, we vow to update this often neglected blog more often.
We spent our New Year's Eve at a party hosted by some friends from church. Several families were there, children and all. The hosts have a large gameroom, with darts, foosball, ping pong, and air hockey. Everyone had a wonderful time, and stayed awake the whole night. The highlight of the evening, at least in my opinion, was my defeat of Jen at ping pong.
It has been a busy month thus far. The kids started school on January 2nd, while Paige turned eleven the next day. I suddenly feel a lot older after typing that. Paige celebrated her birthday by going to Cold Stone and seeing a matinee with several friends from school.
Take care, everyone.
